Welcome to the homepage of the AbitMORE SCM Wiki, the place to be for all sorts of information and in depth documentation about Software Change Management, which cannot be found (easily) in standard SCM manuals .
Use the table of content (upper right) to get an idea of the information you can find here.
The AbitMORE SCM Wiki is intended to be a place to spread AbitMORE's knowledge about CMN/ZMF. As a sample, after you've explored the solutions within the Z-Issues, Z-Clues and Z-Files a bit, you'll understand that you might consider each of these solutions as a disclosure of AbitMORE's trade secrets about how to solve the corresponding Z-Issue. And this without AbitMORE expecting or forcing you to hire (sometimes expensive) consultants to come onsite (or work remotely) to simply cut-and-paste the very same customizations that were implemented before at another customer. Attention: of course AbitMORE can offer you appropriate consulting services (e.g. to implement these or new solutions in your environment).
Think about all this next time you hire a ZMF consultant again …
Talking about disclosing trade secrets, we at AbitMORE even take this a step further, by looking at the legal aspects of it. For all solutions within the spectrum of Z-Issues, Z-Clues or Z-Files, AbitMORE assures to be authorized to publish these solutions to any CMN/ZMF customer interested using them. Moreover, the AbitMORE customers for which we ever implemented these solutions, are aware (and have agreed) that AbitMORE publishes selected solutions to other CMN/ZMF customer.
Here you can find a lot (not just Abit …) information about CMN/ZMF and related products and topics. Everything is setup and maintained using the popular DokuWiki system. It is a collaborative documentation system called a 'wiki'. This means that, if you have been authorized, you also can edit these pages or create new ones. You are certainly encouraged to do so. If you know something that you think would be useful for other users of this documentation, go ahead and insert them. If you don't have a login yet, contact AbitMORE SCM Support. To read AbitMORE (oeps) about the wiki system itself, consider checking out the About Wiki pages.
A special word about using a wiki system to deliver all the information contained in it: AbitMORE has selected such system, mostly because of the many advantages it offers to publish and share all the information as compared to other alternatives (e.g. a CMS system, etc). The general perception though of a wiki system is that its content cannot always be trusted, and that using a wiki sytem is usually entirely free. As you move around in these wiki pages, you'll understand right away the tremendous efforts and investements we at AbitMORE have done to put all this together (to build content, to ensure quality, to facilitate its use, etc). Not to speak about about expanding it in the (near) future. This is why we have selected a wiki sytem, so that we can continue to concentrate on delivering real content and value to its users, in the most (cost) efficient way.
